Center scientists in the research group of Christy Haynes at the University of Minnesota participated in the August 30th UMN "Sustainability Action!" open house that is part of welcome week for all incoming undergraduates. More than 2,500 students walked through the open house and had the opportunity to visit the Center for Sustainable Nanotechnology booth to learn about our center. These freshmen had the opportunity to talk to the current graduate students working in the Center and use our fluorescent nanodiamond activity to see our research results in action.
